Diving at Rendezvous St Lucia

dive in st luciaIf scuba diving isn’t on your “to do” list, make sure to add it before visiting St. Lucia. It’s a wonderful hobby that will literally change your life and the way you see it, and one of our favorite things to do at the Rendezvous couples resort. From lakes to coral reefs, shipwrecks and night dives, every adventure is unique and different.

Depending on how fast you proceed, 3 to 5 days should suffice to get PADI Open Water certified. This certification is recognized worldwide and will allow you to dive all over the globe.

There are three main phases you will have to go through in order to get your PADI Open Water Certification.

  1.  Learn the theory and pass the exam. Surely, you don’t want to spend hours in a classroom studying. You’d rather take advantage of everything that your all inclusive St Lucia vacation has to offer. The good news is that you can do this at home via the PADI website.  http://www.padi.com/scuba/ This will allow you to gain valuable time and jump pretty much straight into your scuba gear.  If for some reason you can’t do this from home, no problem, you can study here at the dive center.
  2. Suit up; it’s time to practice in the pool! There are five confined dives that will allow you to get a better feeling of what scuba diving is all about. From setting up you scuba gear to developing and practicing your scuba skills, you are now only a few steps away from your first open water dive in St. Lucia...
  3. Time to get real! You will now continue to learn and practice during four open water dives. Once you have completed these dives, that’s it! You are now an official PADI Open Water certified diver, congratulations!

As mentioned above, you can now enjoy diving all over the world with other certified divers. St. Lucia is a diving gem with abundant underwater wildlife, shipwrecks, and reefs. The daily dives offered at Rendezvous are always full of surprises and will blow you mind.

By getting certified, you are opening a new, amazing chapter in your life and might realize that from now on, vacations will be focused mainly on diving.
