Shaken Not Stirred

The vision of an idyllic Rendezvous vacation is incomplete without the completely fictional feeling of wind sweeping through your hair and brushing gently across your face as you sit under a colorful umbrella, sprawled out on a cozy lounge chair cocktail in hand.

Key word: Cocktail. And, when dreams meet reality, it had better be a cocktail concoction of the delectable variety. Fear not, we’re here to help!

We met up with bartender Makeda who shared the secrets to making three of the most popular Rendezvous cocktails of all time. Well, at least the most delicious of cocktails served up to couples at our bars this week. Ready… set… shake!

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Coconut Rum
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 2 oz Cranberry
  • Orange slices (for garnish)

How to make it:

Shake vodka, coconut rum, pineapple and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a high ball glass, garnish and serve.

 

Rendezvous Kiss (non-alcoholic)

  • 2 oz Orange
  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • ½ oz Grenadine Syrup
  • Ginger Ale
  • Lemon (for garnish)

How to make it:

Place ice into your cocktail glass of choice. Add orange and pineapple juices. Add Grenadine Syrup and top with ginger ale. Garnish and serve!

Tip: You can make Grenadine syrup at home using equal parts pomegranate juice and sugar.

 

Tropical Sea Breeze

  • 1 oz Crème de caco
  • 1 oz Coconut Cream
  • 1 oz Coconut Cream Liquor
  • ½ Banana 

How to make it:

Blend ingredients with ice for best result. Garnish with a banana slice and serve chilled!

Tip: Feel free to get creative with garnishes, and to double ingredients when making for extra guests.
