CORONAVIRUS – COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY UPDATE & NOTICE OF CLOSURE

Following the continuation of the Coronavirus outbreak, COVID-19, worldwide, and in addition to the previously released policy for cancellations we wish to reassure our travel partners that in times of uncertainty the safety and wellbeing of our guests is our highest priority.

As of Monday 8th June 2020, Saint Lucia recorded a national total of confirmed cases to 19, with 18 cases already completely recovered without complication.

Following the initial announcement on Sunday 15th March 2020 by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of The Government of Saint Lucia, travel to Saint Lucia was restricted with no inbound travel permitted from key source markets such as the UK, USA, Canada and regionally. Although as of the 4th June 2020 the borders for Saint Lucia were opened to regional travel, airlines have not yet resumed flights. The United Kingdom is the primary source market for visitors to both BodyHoliday and Rendezvous and with the recent communication from British Airways to extend their suspension of flights throughout July, the restriction on inbound tourism has therefore been extended.

NOTICE OF EXTENDED CLOSURE OF BODYHOLIDAY AND RENDEZVOUS RESORTS

In order to support the preventative measures being implemented, and due to the restriction of guests able to arrive to Saint Lucia from our key source markets, both BodyHoliday and Rendezvous resorts will remain closed for all guests until 31st July 2020. At this current time, it is now planned to reopen to guests from 1st August 2020.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR ANY GUESTS DUE TO TRAVEL DURING CLOSURE DATES

Any guests not able to travel due to the extended closure of BodyHoliday and Rendezvous Resorts, will be issued a Refund Credit Note which will grant a waiver of the standard cancellation charges and allow guest to rebook within 12 months of original travel dates. Any credit notes that have not been redeemed within 12 months will be granted a full refund on request after 6 month of issue or at the expiration of the Refund Credit Note.

The rebooked dates will be granted subject to availability and must be the same duration and room category as the travel originally booked in order to incur no additional charges. Rebooking between the 21st December 2020 and the 5th January will incur supplemented charges.

Any cancellation request received that does not meet the above criteria will still incur the applicable cancellation terms as booked. Any exception requests will be reviewed and considered solely on a case by case basis.

The above will only be applicable for any guests due to arrive up until the 31st July 2020. Should this position change in the meantime a further statement will be issued.

EXISTING RESERVATIONS POST 1ST August 2020

The cancellation policy for any guests already booked and due to arrive post 1st August 2020 until the 31st August 2020, will be extended to 7 days prior to arrival. Following initial deposit, any guests wishing to cancel their reservation will be able to do so with no penalty up to 7 days prior to arrival.

Guests due to arrive prior to the 31st August 2020 that wish to defer their travel and move their date may also be permitted to do so subject to availability of requested dates and must be the same duration and room category as the travel originally booked in order to incur no additional charges. Rebooking between the 21st December 2020 and the 5th January will incur supplemented charges.

TRAVEL WITH CONFIDENCE FOR NEW BOOKINGS

We recognise that choosing to travel during this time can be a difficult decision and to help guests and to support our travel partners our resorts have implemented our Travel with Confidence Policy which will allow any guests making new reservations until 31st July 2020 to cancel without penalty within 7 days of arrival should they no longer wish to travel.

This policy is only applicable to new bookings made until the 31st August 2020 for travel until 30 April 2021 and does not apply to any existing bookings or groups. Existing Bookings, or those made after 31st July 2020, will remain subject to our previously released cancellation policy.

In addition to the above flexible cancellation policy, for all new bookings made before the 31st August 2020 for travel until the 21st December, a reduced deposit of only 1 night will be required at the time of booking to secure the reservation. Balance payments to be made as per usual terms and conditions.
